5 Ways Exercise can change (And Save) Your Life

Let’s see if you can figure out a riddle. What do brains, stress, immune systems, and skin all have in common? You can’t figure it out? The answer might surprise you. They can all be improved with exercise. Let’s take a look at what you can expect if you start exercising. You just might be surprised by what you find out.
5 Ways Exercise Can Change (And Save) Your Life
Get Smarter
Okay, so you’re probably already nearly a genius, but you can bump it up to the next level with some exercise. When you exercise, you will boost the number of growth factors in your brain. That will cause your brain to generate new cells and forge connections between those cells. By the time that’s done, you will be smarter. On top of that, you will have a better body, thanks to the exercise. You’ll be a double threat, with your good looks and your big brain.

Lose the Stress and the Signs of Aging
If you are stressed, you’ll be happy to know that exercise can boost dopamine and serotonin. That will alleviate a lot of your stress. Once you get rid of your stress, your chances of suffering a heart attack or a stroke will go down. You will also be able to lower your blood pressure and maybe even get off some medications.

Not only that, but when you exercise, your body can actually reverse some of the aging processes that were caused by stress. If you feel like your life is causing you to age before your time, then you need to hit the pavement. Take a run or even just go for a brisk walk. Then, watch those aging signs start to fade away. You’ll look a lot younger in no time at all.

Reduce the Risk of Cancer
You can actually decrease your chances of getting cancer by exercising. Exercise builds up your immune system in a way that will provide you with some protection against some types of cancer.

Along with reducing the risks of cancer, you can reduce the risks of other illnesses as well. After all, a strong immune system is prepared to fight off lots of different germs that come its way. Thus, it just makes sense to get up and move.

Get Healthier Skin
Exercise actually cleanses skin from the inside out. It also nourishes cells so your skin will look and feel better. Your skin is often the first thing people notice, so if you want to make a good first impression, you definitely want to take advantage of this benefit. People will notice your glowing skin first and then they will see that it’s attached to a hot body.

Just be sure you wash your face when you finish exercising so you don’t clog up your pores with dirt and sweat. That would cause you to reverse all of the skin benefits you received during your routine.

Sleep Better
When you exercise, you can expect to sleep better at night. Good sleeping habits come with a wealth of benefits, including decreased appetite and increased alertness. Your mood will even be better if you get enough sleep. This is reason enough to spend some time exercising. After all, who doesn’t want to be in a good mood most of the time?

As you can see, exercise is about so much more than losing weight. Sure, losing weight is a great benefit, but it’s not the only one. When you add all of the benefits up, you know that you need to include exercise in your life. It’s the only way to be as healthy as possible.
